Our Story

The Jazz Spot was born from a lifelong love of soul and jazz.

Sharon's journey began on quiet Sundays at home, listening to smooth jazz and soul records while doing housework alongside her mom. Those moments planted a deep appreciation for music that speaks to the heart, music that slows you down, makes you feel, and brings people together.

As I grew older, that love followed me. I traveled when I could, attending jazz concerts and live shows, always holding onto the dream. Everything changed after I moved from Trinidad to Saint Martin. I found my voice on the airwaves with my own jazz radio show, Chill Sundaze, airing on Radio St. Martin 101.5 FM every Sunday from 6–7 PM, sharing smooth jazz and neo-soul with listeners while still working my full-time job.

Eventually, the dream grew bigger than the radio. The Jazz Spot became a natural extension of that journey, a physical space where the music I’ve always loved could live, breathe, and be shared. A place for live performances, emerging talent, and intimate nights filled with soul, jazz, and connection.

Jazz Spot isn’t just a venue, it’s a reflection of a lifelong passion, built with love, persistence, and the belief that it’s never too late to bring a dream to life.
